My heart just melts seeing you with your daughter. I'd heard through the grapevine that there was babytalk going on in your house. ;) I can tell just how smitten you are with your new love.

I hear you on how this day is one of conflicting feelings. But you do deserve to relish in the good things of the day.

my first too... and as wonderful as i feel, i still get it too. i know i got incredibly lucky... and i ache for those still in the fight.

It was my first Mother's day as a mother too, and I can so identify with the guilt. I'm also more than a little relieved to not be the only one with a completely narcisstic mother. I found it eery I had almost the exact same generic card-hunting experience.

Forgive my rambling! I love seeing you with your daughter :) That last picture is amazing. Congratulations Mama :)
