OK, I’ll say it. Dumbass Debra Dickerson, author of The End of Blackness, and proponent of the idea that Barack Obama is not black, gets spanked by Stephen Colbert on The Colbert Report.

I was totally baffled by her position. I mean I think I received her message correctly (son of slaves or not and how he's a 'safer' choice) but really, that means he's not black? Isn't that like saying someone who didn't have relatives die in the gas chambers really isn't Polish?

I really enjoyed the way Colbert handled the interview.

I love stephen colbert. he rocks. she is a lunatic who needs to learn a craft to keep her brain busy so she stops acting like a fucking freak. However, she may learn to knit and then somehow convince me I'm not a knitter because I wasn't the descendent of knitters or some such shit.

I saw that piece on Colbert and also read something on Salon (by her). When I read it I was curious to know what you would think.
My sister's boyfriend is african/kenyan. He thought it was pretty funny that he is not 'black'. Most cops think he looks pretty black.
