Hee. One of my friends said "Well, Mark Sheppard has now been on everything that matters." She's not wrong.
I'm not a fan of River as the Doctor's wife, largely because at this point it's too obvious. They've been openly implying that for a while now, and I'd love to see them go somewhere else with it instead of just confirming. If you're just going with that, why draw it out for so long after making the implication, y'know? Not sure how I feel about River as Amy's daughter. Still need to mull over that one for a bit.
Yeah, she is right. But more Mark Sheppard never hurts! But I can always rewatch the awesome characters he played in Leverage, Battlestar Galactica and Firefly.
I don't like it too much either (since as you said, it would be too obvious), but I still like it more than the daughter theory. I mean, sure, there are signs that could be interpretted that way, but...you know. I just don't like it. I'd rather have her be someone on her own.
I love this post, everything is geeky and nothing hurts.
I've finished Sherlock just a week ago and... I'm speechless. It's awesome, I can't wait to see next episodes. And since I haven't read all the books I'm doing it now. :D
As for Doctor Who the first episode wasn't really interesting (I mean, I've seen better ones) but I love the speculations!
Yes! I can't wait for new episodes either. At first I was a little scared, since Martin Freeman got a part in The Hobbit as Bilbo Baggins and that is pretty time consuming, but apparently Peter Jackson accommodated to him, so there will be new Sherlock haha.
Yes, it wasn't one of the strongest ones, but it still was interesting. MARK SHEPPARD. And dead Doctor in the first episode? And River slapped him! And I just feel bad for her :( . Yeah, that's about it.
Hehe. I know what you mean, but I think part of the fun for me in Who fandom anymore is the wild and crazy theories. And how many of them could actually, totally be true considering the show's back canon.
*nods* I think he's going to catch the atmosphere very well, just wobbly on the plot choices he's going to have to make. That, and nothing can beat my childhood love for the singing in the animated version XD.
I was the same, really! I was like "Yeah...I'm going to pass on that." But then they bought it for our TV here and it was really great. Plus it doesn't hurt most of the actors in the show are really great and subtle (as compared to american TV acting).

River as Amy's daughter would be...weird. XD
Very nervous about The Hobbit. It's my favorite book of all time, and I know they're going to have to cut so much. Mrrrg. *nerd!huddles with her book*

I know right? But to be honest it's one of the less ridiculous theories I've heard xD
Yeah, I'm not that nervous, since I trust Peter Jackson. I was worried before seeing LotR, but I liked what he did with it so I'm not bothered now.
