Real!spouse update: J isn't home yet. Likely tonight. They kept him in last night for observation because he had a fever. He doesn't anymore and he's cranky and ready to come home

I really like the earthy voice. It's working class and fits the tone so very well.
I was throw a bit from the beginning of the fic (before the asterik) as I kept wanting to put it in with the same POV but it wouldn't go.
That could be nothing more than a reading flaw on my part. I just wish there was more out to watch (or that I have downloaded) to get their characterizations better. I'd try my hand at writing for them.
Maybe later. I'll try to come up with ultra cool and really nifty prompts for the pornathon.
There is a different POV in the first part before the asterisk. It's sort of an overview effect, and there'll be a closing piece to match it. It's meant to be in the style of the previouslies or the complete Joey POV where he's not engrossed in the story. It might not be working, because it lacks the visual cues to tell us that, and I might need to do something like give that segment a date and location line.
The POV in the other part is Joey's storytelling POV, where he engages himself with the narrative and lies pretty outrageously - and often doesn't seem to be aware of whether he's lying.
I'm not sure whether the POV shifts work yet, but I'm going to leave be until it gets beta-ed, because it's a LOT more solid than it was when I switched out to Tommy's POV. *eyes* That was awful.
The entire season so far plus commentary tracks and vid clip bios is available on NBC.com. It's totally worth checking out.
I think the POV shifts will work if, as you indicated, you close the fic out with it as well. It was just my brain wanting to slot it in with the main part of what I read, even though I could tell it wasn't the same POV.
[rearranges stuff in the queue to watch what's up on NBC.com] I always forget about them....
