I know about these: South Bay Circles and Bay Area Pagan Assemblies. It's been a long time since I did anything with them, but they were good when I was more active :)

If nothing else, it'd be a way to get started celebrating the seasons in a group context.

I highly recommend the Unitarian/Universalist church. Congregations vary on how pagan-friendly they are, but UUism in general has no problem with paganism.

Hum, Jewish icon.

From the viewpoint of one cheerfully nonspecific Christian with strong Gaian tendencies (because a pagan is 'one who follows a false religion' and I don't think nature/spirit worship is a false religion, and I don't think that those who follow it think it's false either), the things that pop into my head are the menorah, the Star of David, unleavened bread, Mars Bars (they're kosher, and I had a Jewish classmate who ate them all the time because of that), the Kabbalah, Moses and big sticks. I don't know why the big sticks. Maybe because all the artwork of the Jewish prophets in my Children's Bible gave them all walking staffs.

That probably wasn't much help, but I hope it gave you a few ideas.

You could go with my solution - get a picture taken of yourself where you look like a stereotype :)

Oh yeah, here's my "Jewish post" icon. It's a picture I took a couple of years ago.
