I've been wondering the same thing. I adore bbm slash and it's heartbreaking to lose any of our authors. I really do appreciate our bbm writers and the joy (and angst) they give us.
IMHO I think Helen had moved on from writing fan-fiction, and had planned on deleting her Journal for quite some time. She decided to do so only after finishing and posting the last chapter and epilogue of "Going Home", something she had struggled with for quite some time. What her future plans are, I can't even begin to guess, as I did not know her personally...but she has given her blessing for fans of her BBM stories to share copies of her work amongst each other, since she did not keep any herself.
It's a sad fact of every fandom I've ever been a part of that people we love come and go, quite often when you least expect them to. I take for granted that they will always be around, in one form or another...but deletions are so final an act that it breaks my heart. I understand that there are a million reasons why some authors need to do this...but that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye.
No, goodbye isn't easy. I am so happy that I printed out GOING HOME. I loved it so much, that I have read it several times. I hope we don't lose any more of our wonderful authors. Donna :(
