I know I didn't make a song and dance about it but I only got the DVD's a couple of weeks ago and had never seen this! Naturally it had much more potential in my dirty hands. And it goes to prove that Randy really hadn't changed much since this and the goodbye special :))).

I've always adored the total disingenuity of that "I thought he was the best" or "I liked him the best" (Randy so embarrassed you can't even hear it properly). Whether they actually did anything or not, anyone who isn't totally blind knows what Randy really thought when he read with Gale was the same thing all of us would have thought: "GUH! GUH! and more GUH!"

IMO, if he was running around before the sex scenes huffing and puffing, it was in an attempt to get so tired his hydraulics would pack up. BTW, did anyone ever see an S1 sex scene where Randy DID huff and puff ongoingly (as opposed to in the right spots), as you might do if you'd been running around? I never did.

Nup. Randy's always been perfectly/beautifully convincing (whether being fucked or doing the fucking) in the sex scenes *hmm*. Gale OTH was sometimes a little over the top (over the bottom) in S4/5 IMO - maybe he just had to work harder at it as he got older and the smoking caught up with him ;).
