It was actually my flatmate who had no idea what day it was yesterday that sparked it. And I don't think it's just about the World Wars so many years ago... I think Tosh's line of “It’s not just about those two wars. It’s about remembering everyone that’s lost their life in past and current armed affairs.” sums up my feelings on the matter best. But you're right - not enough people remember and actually feel something anymore. It's sad. I personally think everyone should be forced to go to Belgium and France and see the trenches and hear the stories first hand - they wouldn't forget then. I can still vividly remember going on a school trip there when I was a kid.
