I was thinking over the last while that I've lost rather a lot of my subtlety. While I can certain blame this on the amount of time spent with a particular individual, and other events, I reckon it might be time to try reverting to a more interesting state of being. At least you haven't (yet) picked up my annoying habit of saying "Can you put that thing on the thing thats over there beside the thing...you know, next to the whatchmacallit?"

As for the "thing with the thing that's over beside the thing", I do my best to avoid it. Main reason: My grandaunt was nay too articulate, and she did that sort of thing. Words weren't her friend, so if she asked me to get the "thing", I'd be wondering what on earth she wanted me to get. So clarification would reveal that it was the "thing beside the thing". One I get to about the third level of things beside other things I'd ask, with a little more venom than was possibly due to her, "What THING?", at which point I'd find out that one of the 'things' is white.
I learnt an important lesson: articulation and vocabulary are good, and important, assets (I very nearly wrote things instead of assets, then checked myself) in this world... or at least the one I wanna live in.
