This pissed me off so much - aside from the fact that none of the other athletes complained until she came first. Smack of ignorance and sore loserism to me.
Poor girl she's only 18 and to have it played out in the media like that. The olympic committee should've stepped in and handled this better

True, sorry. I was overpersonalising somewhat.

Basically, the pre-transition bit was mainly because I'm not out at work, and present as male there. So, yeah. Basically, I could try taking them to task on it, but doing that would not be the ideal way to out myself, especially as the guy who said it is one of the longest-standing, and loudest, people in the place.

I don't know if you need to come out to call them on it, but I can see why you would just want to avoid the whole thing, which is probably what I would do also.
