My latest idea would be to start a business where i popped in to people with animals and provided nail cutting, tooth brushing, and coat brushing services. Sounds silly, i know, but often people can't and don't have the time to do these things and i don't mind them at all. As far as i know, no one is doing this anywhere.
Basically on the LJ Home page, there's a section called "writer's block" and it gives you questions that you can reply to in your journal. It puts in some weird LJ Template tag and that sets up the question and button.
And yeah, your idea sounds kinda cool. Nice niche market.
Have you ever read anything by Paul Graham? He's big on getting computer people to start companies instead of working for the man. The only resources you'd need to start a business like that is your own salary. Hopefully you'd be able to support yourself after about a year. So you don't actually need that much resources. :)
