So, I don't know how, but it seems that last night Feisty worked... even when it shouldn't have. All through today, I was tearing my hair out to get networking running on it ( Read more... )

I have a 64bit machine at home. 64bit linux was no end of headaches. I just switched to the 32bit and haven't looked back.

Yeah, I'm thinking that at the moment. It allows me to use flash and stuff like that.

I still have some disk reconfiguration to do, but then I'll have myself an ubuntu install.

As in posted about, gnash has come along a long way. Youtube is visible at a semidecent frame rate. It tends to hog the CPU though. Yay open source!

Aye, but at the moment my whole drive for using ubuntu is to make my life relatively easy and for it to do what I need it to do. So, when gnash keep pace with the other, or do a good job of it, I'll probably switch. Until then, I'm keeping myself firmly rooted in the flash trap.
