The first few weeks since I turned 26 have been insane. It was as if I hit that age and life decided to throw a few curve balls my way followed by a speeding semi. Ive gotten thru the majority of it so far, and only broke down once

ha! done. The burden is now on you to pick a restaurant. Though, I must admit I am slightly bemused by which version of date you are using there. It could be interpreted that you just yelled at me to ask you out on a date. Alas, more likely you just meant it in reference to a date on a calender.
