Imho Elementary is the greatest con ever. First the CBS creates negative publicity for itself by suggesting that the makers have something to do with their take on Sherlock Holmes, thus forcing Sue Vertue to warn them off and getting the whole Sherlock Fandom worried that they do an American Ripp-off. (Which basically quieted down after the pilot showed that it was just a cash-in and not a rip off
