I...just wasted my entire day.

In between getting up at noon, watching The Faculty on TV (n'awww, baby!Elijah Wood), and rereading most of the QC archive, I achieved exactly nothing. No, that's not right. I read ten pages of Thucydides and then fell asleep for two hours. And that is approximately 5% of the total amount of reading I have to do.

Oh my god, she did it. She actually CANCELED CLASS for today. I honestly didn't believe she would, but she did and OMG life is so good. The guy at the library computer next to me totally cracked up when I opened the email, possibly due to my seal-like clapping-and-laughing reaction. Even when he was telling me how absolutely little I know about anything relating to graduate programs or library science itself, he was so nice that I really didn't get the sense of panic and shame that I probably deserved. I finally emailed the professors from whom I want letters of recommendation, and they all got back to me within two hours.

I am meeting my old Latin prof tomorrow at 10, my 18th-century Brit Lit prof tomorrow at 3:30, and my YA lit prof Thursday at 1.
