Okay, I'm kind of a broke student person, so I'm offering my wicked hooking skills at help_haiti. Crochet hooking, that is. I'm putting up an auction for two mini Cthulhus and a dinosaur of the winner's choice (three separate auctions), and it is only fair that anyone interested knows what they're bidding on! So below the cut are images of the things I can ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness, little purple button-eyed Cthulu! Make me wish I knew how to crochet. Those are awesome things to offer.

It's not hard to learn! I'm a lefty, and even I can do it. :D It's tremendously fun, too.

(If you ever do learn, let me know and I'll send you the Cthulhu pattern! I modified the pattern from a book called Creepy Cute Crochet. Also, that would give me an excuse to actually set down the way I do the wings, because they tend to be different each time!)

Lol! Well, okay then. I'm still sorry that I failed to make it for you--the holiday just completely devoured my brains. (If you happened to want it for yourself, though...) ;)

Finally showed the pics to Aidan, and apparently he likes the triceratops AND the stegosaurus best. As in, he kept saying first one, and then the other, and then when I asked "But which of them do you like BEST?", he said "The steg-a-sauwus AAAAAANNND the twi-sawa-tops!" I asked "So if you got either one of those, you'd be happy?" And he said emphatically "YES!"

So, given that, my executive decision is: stegosaurus. Because I think it's the cutest. :-)

In terms of colour, I asked him, and he said "Purple AN' blue AN' green!" So if you have any sort of multicoloured yarn, that would be great - if not, maybe the different parts could be different colours?

Purple and blue and green, huh? Sounds like he's about as decisive as I am! :) I'd be happy to go hunting for some variegated yarn...if the plow hadn't dumped two feet of packed-in snow behind my car. *sigh* No yarn-shopping for me in the near future, it seems.

Do you think he'd like something along the lines of a purple stegosaurus with blue eyes and alternating blue and green plates? :D
