Can you link her to the Mathew Shepard Foundation Website? That's the best example of Christians being fair about the Gay Rights issue I can think of.

That's an excellent idea. I don't know if I'll get a response at all, but if I do, I'll send her that link. Thank you. :)

Np. The image of all of his friends in angel costumes blocking Phredy Phelps and his Touring Phamily of Phuckwits with 6' wings is one of the most powerful I've seen. If angels would turn their backs on that kind of hate, what would the consequences for the hatemongers be if the vengeful god of the Old Testament that so many repressionists quote were turned loose on them?

You know, I was wondering if this had been a mutual friend maxthebd October 26 2009, 02:56:56 UTC
And then I kept scrolling through facebook and realized "oh, her. I wonder what her thoughts on yaoi are."

I'm half tempted to ask her.

Now don't get me wrong, I love God as much as the next person, but regardless of one's sexuality, they're human. They're great friends, but some do go a bit far with shoving it in my face. I don't care if a guy/girl friend of mine kisses another dude/lady or three dudes/women or a guy and a girl, I'll tell him/her to get a room just like I tell everyone else.

Then again, she's probably one of the reasons that a mutual friend of ours (and one of her many many exes) decided that men made better lovers than the ladies. *grins and prays that she doesn't get blasted for this*

Speaking of yaoi: Watch White Collar on USA, Fridays at 10. Holy crap, chemistry, Rat Pack-era clothing, and good god, Matthew Boner Bomer.

Edit for balance reasons and because Boner was not meant to be italicized.

Wait, she dated James? I feel like I knew that, but it was probably before I came to BT. ;)

I am totally going to have to start watching that show! Although I also need to catch up on FlashForward, because--Dom Monaghan. *happysigh*

Oh yes. They were quite hot and heavy (as hot and heavy as a couple can be freshman year of high school). Getting him to actually admit it on the other hand... I think he'd need to be quite drunk.

But good god, the fanfiction that's out (and was out before the premiere) is pretty cute too. And by cute, I mean, fangirl gooey.

I'm pretty open minded about people's orientation, colour, beliefs etc. But it's still frustrating to hear friends make racist/sexist/homophobic comments and jokes.

Over here we have the BNP, which is a much hated political party which have been rightly compared to the Nazis. Basically, they believe in Britain for the British, want to get rid of immigrants and anyone that isn't white. So far they've not said much about homosexuals but I suspect they're not welcome either.

Last week there was a bit thing because their party leader was invited onto a political talk show by the BBC. Protests were held outside and a lot of negative discussion online.

Finally, a clip of Reginald D Hunter (you may have seen him on QI sometimes) giving his thoughts on discrimination. It's a valid point.
