So today my boss--not just my immediate boss, but the boss of the whole branch--mentioned to me that there were two library aide positions open. At my home branch. Not only would that mean a two-minute commute (versus my current thirty-minute one), but it would also be up to 30 hours a week at two or three dollars more than I'm making now. Congrats on the chance for promotion, definitely go for it! :)

How can your personal statement be both under and over 500 words? What kind of silly person was writing the guidelines?

Thanks! I'm going for it, so here's hoping. ;)

One school wants a statement of less than 500 words, another one wants a statement of more than 500 words. And one calls it a "biographical sketch" instead of a "personal statement" or a "statement of intent," and I don't even know what that means. XD

I wonder if you could get away with drawing a stick figure of yourself ;)

Apparently, a biographical sketch is written from a third person perspective, at least that's what my googling seems to imply. I found this example
