On Friday, the twins and I drove up to Athens to visit Lisa. It was very low-key--we wound up sitting around watching 300 and having girl-talk. Saturday we went to the Athens farmers' market and discovered the glory that is pineapple salsa, then we had lunch with Catt! And Lisa's friend Laura! At BW3's, of course.

Then we brought Lisa back Saturday ( Read more... )

whoo-hoo, Robin Hood. I watched it too--I love that one. So lighthearted and fun. I am a bit overly fond of Basil Rathbone, as we all know. They were showing Errol Flynn movies all day too on TCM, which was fun. Caught a couple few minutes of a couple of the other ones. But yeah, Will Scarlett and Robin--cousins, my ass. hehe.

I did watch 300. I sat there the whole time and went, "damnit, I wish my tv was bigger."

I thought of you when I saw Rathbone's name pop up on the credits, after which I was gleefully entertained by the technicolor finery of...everyone. ;)

cousins, my ass. hehe....I did watch 300.

Best. Segue. Ever. XD (Seriously, though, Stelios and Astinos? Way more obvious the more times I watch the movie.)

I'm guessing that Leonidas meant that whole prepubescent-boy/older-man thing that Athens had going. Because if he just meant manlove in general...ahahahaha. The irony, it burns. XD

1. It's just so fun to say. I'm starting to think I might have stolen it from a Penny Arcade strip, actually.

2. That chest-gesture will become the stuff of legend if I have any say in the matter. I swear it.

3. If both of these jobs fall through, I'll start applying to every job between here and Athens. Or at least I'll spend lots of weekends visiting, because I believe you owe me Buffy.
