i keep meaning to watch common law but i think one thing that irks me is that it feels so recycled with the whole ~oh hey two dudes who don't get along but secretly do! bet this will make a fabulously bromantic series and pull tons of fangirls in because of the subtext~ etc etc etc >

yes. the whole concept of the show does feel like it's just made for the fangirls ... and i have to admit when i saw the trailer i wasn't very impressed; but i watched the pilot & i kinda like it *shrugs* i think it could still go both ways. i'm hoping for the best ;)
but i do hope they'll have some other plotlines at some point (soon) & not just that mariage counseling thing.
