i've started this vid forever ago, and i'm so so glad i finally finished it after all \o/ but i don't know when i've been more nervous about posting a vid, gah. i'm not sure what the problem is, but yeah ... i hope you'll like it *nervous*

Well I don't think you should be nervous with this vid at all. I, for one, really love it, and I love how you used the song. You really convinced me of *this* song for *this* vid, and from me for this music that's not just high praise that's near impossible. I've been listening to Justin Vernon's music for the past ... 15 years? I own cds he made in high school. (I *went* to his high school.) It's really hard for me to shake my own associations with his music when I watch vids. But I did with this. And maybe it helps that this is a vid to Where the Wild Things Are which (the book at least) has been with me even longer than his music, but it all works so well together -- the silences and the frenzied parts and the frusteration and the exhilaration and the fear. It's really excellent!

i think i was actually most nervous about the song ;) i usually shy away from using stuff that is too well known exactly for this reason - people already have their own stories and associations with it. that you liked it so much just makes me all flaily! i'm a realative newcomer to both (wild things & justin vernon), so i'm very very hapy you think i did them justice ...

Dude, I was like she vidded Where the Wild Things are? AWESOME and then it's like WITH CREATURE FEAR OMG THE PERFECTION.

And it totally was. I don't know how you do it bb but like you mesh the images and the music in such a way that it's incredible to watch. I loved the way you tied it back together with that last shot of his globe as well. Totally epic. <3
