You know what I like about Torchwood? Listening to Welsh accents for almost fifty minutes gives me a happy. Also, Jack is still a cutie. And there's snogging. And some really nice camera work. I can handwave the rest.

i've only seen the first episode but am happily reading any spoilers i can find. and jack...well, woof. and in the right light i'm reminded a bit of benton fraser. er....not as a character though. heh heh heh.

ps. me, i never go anywhere without my trusty scifi handwave.

pps. as for pterodactyls....they practiced on godzilla and are now quite used to the high voltage stuff.

It's a scary tv world out there without it. Many fannish interests just don't mix the real world. After nine and a half years of Stargate, I handwave like the Queen so as not to strain my wrist.

and you're right about the real world. maybe that's what the queen has been doing all those years? watching dr. who and then handwaving as she goes on parade?

I loved the pterodactyl! Although, I thought it should be a bit bigger. I wonder if they've named it yet.

I think it is a bit small too -- although give that it's extinct it's in good shape. *g* I don't recall a name but then, I don't recall any kind of explanation of it either, it's just there. Did I miss something?

Poor Jack, being dead does seem to have cramped his style a bit. Still, nice to see he did get a bit of a snog in during the 'kiss of life'.

Some nice f/f snogging though... although also under the influence.

Yesterday I ventured out into LJland and found people who put way too much thought into it and it dampened my squee for a moment. But today I have conveniently forgotten (selective amnesia) so I am quite happy again.

I love the overhead shots that show the city/countryside.

I'm avoiding 9/10ths of the fannish response to this show because I'm not so obsessive that I can see it ripped apart and have my sqee survive (unlike SPN which can go under a microscope and not change how I feel). I'm all surface with Torchwood and determined to stay that way.
