A new way to experience the series.

Hello, all :)

So I've recently started a project, with tsukikoushi's permission - I'm podficcing Shadow of the Templar. This is a podfic project that is, obviously, huge; it's going to take me quite some time to get through it. However! I've completed the first podfic, which is of Shock to the System, and I've done all three parts. (I tried quite hard to ( Read more... )

Wheee! I just downloaded it. It's now in a folder on my iPod. I'm looking forward to listening on my way to work today!

Whoa, I can't believe you're podfic'ing this! o_o *impressed* Can't wait to listen! ♥

P.S. If you have iTunes, you can convert .mp3 → audiobook quite easily! :) Lmk if you're still having trouble and I can do it for you!

I'm having a lot of fun with it so far :D

I do have iTunes, but I didn't know it'd make mp3s into audiobooks - everything I tried just made them into separate m4a files. Are there instructions on this somewhere?

Hmm, I don't know if this was intentional, but the files you uploaded are really short and seem to be just snippets of the story...? :o

Also, I made a mistake earlier; you have convert .mp3 → .m4a (AAC codec) before you can reassign them as .m4b (audiobook) format in iTunes. Here is a simple tutorial for the first part, and then you simply right click on a file in iTunes → Get Info → Options → Media Kind: Audiobook.

Nope, that's the whole of each story :) It's a few of the short stories, not one of the books.

And yeah, that's what I had figured - I was trying to figure a way to merge them all into one audiobook. I'll play around with it some more, thanks :)

Hey, only listened to the first part so far but it's really good :) Your reading came accross as very natural and I enjoyed it.

Thanks for doing these for us, it's a big project.

Thanks so much! I'm really enjoying doing it :)

I started with this one because I wanted the chance to work with as many of the voices as I could in one short story. This one had every one of the main characters' voices in it except Dave and Rich, so I had the chance to play around with different styles without trying to record a bunch of different things. Also, I really love the last part, where Jeremy and Simon are talking :)
