As for Simon and Jeremy specifically, lessee... I their denials of affection (or rather, Simon's denials and Jeremy's non-committal evasions) say just the opposite. Also, their concern for each other's health&safety, despite mutual denial of the necessity of said concern, is a true and repeated sign they care.
I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. ^^
