So I've been thinking all day that I wouldn't be lame and spend St. Patty's Day just sitting in my hotel room. There's a bar with High Grav beer right up the road. Then I got back from work at about 8, procrastinated, worked out, ate a big ole' plate of spaghetti and meatballs, and drank 2 Amstels. Now that I have a full belly, I'm in serious ( Read more... )

We're going to Callaway Gardens in south Georgia. They have 2 really nice golf courses, and it's spring so everything is really beautiful. We stay at these little houses you can rent which are on a fishing pond. It's redneck man paradise... :-)

Dude, you should come over to Atlanta for a weekend. We can pool our collective efforts not to be lame. Pick a sporting event, concert event, or a totally random weekend. We have 2 guest rooms upstairs...

Lame is relative, I guess. I did drink a few Guinness last night, but that's not really a special occasion for me, now is it?

I'm really enjoying the new EP by El Ten Eleven. They're a local LA band. Instrumental, just a bass and drums, but they do a lot with them. Something to check out if you're into Ratatat's louder stuff. Probably good for working out and biking.

Will check that out. Between Explosions in the Sky and El Ten Eleven, you seem to have an affinity for instrumental bands. All part of your plan to take over the world I'm sure.

i had a sip of ben's beer last night while wearing green socks. i don't know if it's new, but i've been listening to this band called fleet foxes lately. i dig 'em. you might, too.

THAT - is decidedly Irish. ;-)

I got the Fleet Foxes album from Amazon recently. I do like it very much. Kinda like Badly Drawn Boy (a little bit), which we both really like.
