Just to stir the pot (huh, huh) a bit...

It would seem that the hubub about some incoming Auburn freshmen transcripts may be a whole lot of hooey:

This article says that at least one of the transcripts appears to be o.k.  They are still investigating, however.  I love the summer.  It's close ( Read more... )

i'm pretty sure that the auburn thing will work itself out and they will be in the clear. that's just fun trash talking cause well, auburn is getting questioned about academics AGAIN. last year, auburn football received public recognition by the NCAA, as being in the top 10 percentile by sport, for its score. auburn's football program is one of only four BCS schools to earn such recognition, joining Boston College, Duke, and Stanford, making Auburn the only public BCS institution to earn such distinctions. YEAH FUCKING RIGHT!!!! i guess that can happen when you don't have to even attend to class to get awesome grades. note: we had a player suspended from practice for missing a class... also note: i don't give a shit about academics ( ... )

Oh God, you just reminded me that if I move down south, I'll be smack dab in the middle of the most intense college football atmosphere, but with the pressure turned up. And I'll see everyone I know turn into football lovers, screaming their heads off over the aided movements of an oddly-shaped ball.

What the fuck am I actually thinking about getting myself into?

Yes you will, and you are thinking about getting into the madness that is SEC football season. It's fun beacause it comes with lots of good ole' Southern tailgate food and beer. Lots and lots of beer. Plus it gives you an automatic conversation topic with anyone regardless of age, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.

This whole 'Bama vs. LSU thing will calm down once Les Miles gets his ass fired. Which will happen in a few years since he is a suckass coach who is living off Saban's talent and WAS living off of Jimbo Fisher's offense. He's about to get exposed in a big way.

He will probably have a couple more good years because they are so loaded, but that's gonna change sooner or later.

And ya'll may get your six. But you better hope that Brandon's knee holds up, and Lester can hold up for a whole season(although you guys are pretty stocked at RB). WR though? Hmmmm....

A couple of extra good years could get cut short considering...Alabama, Arkansas, and Auburn all want to pick those bones, and have the firepower.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, I'm already talking football. Fuck!

I agree that Les Miles is on the way down the drain. Perhaps he knows it, which is why he's so focused on trying to show up Saban. LSU has fallen short on expectations the last couple of seasons. Lofty expectations, but they've had the talent to justify them.

We do have to protect our Cox this year. The lack of wide receivers will add to that problem (we have tight ends and Rod Smith - that's about it). I'm not worried about Lester, because I think that this will be the year of Ben Tate. I'm hoping that Ben will be Rudi Johnson, Cadallac, and Ronnie Brown all rolled up together (I fan can dream, can't he...).
