It was just one more duty that somehow had become his, one that only he seemed able to perform. Or perform up to her exacting standards.

Apparently it wasn’t enough that he regularly cleared escape routes for Parker, kept bad guys from breaking Hardison in half and tried - tried - to keep Nate from running too far off the rails.

Hell, it wasn’t even enough that he cooked for them, trying to come up with meals that all of them would eat.

Nope, now there was this.

Sophie lifted her head from the museum plans spread out on the desk between her and Nate, quirked a slim brow questioningly, and Eliot sighed and shuffled dutifully toward the kitchen.

His queen needed her tea.
