To say that everything had been a severe headache for the last several weeks would be the understatement of the year. Emma hadn't felt this uncomfortable since she'd been teaching five telepaths how to control themselves. This was just getting ridiculous. Japan had worn off, in Emma's opinion, and Emma's opinion was currently the only opinion that

She gave the message one last look before turning around. Time to start getting her shit together.

Even someone like Wade knew it was better than to question someone like Emma's orders. But just because he knew something, didn't mean he couldn't be a pain about it. He knew taunting Logan or Victor could lead to a painful claw to the face. Without that aspect though, there was no fun.
He would annoy her in some other manner when he saw her. So with a heavy pout and a sigh, he took to--doing nothing. He'd pack at the last minute. Sitting on his bunk and sharpening his swords sounded much more fun at the moment. "See, I don't know why we can't just make this place our permanent base. "Only you would want to stay. The rest of us sensible individuals would rather put as much distance between us and this place."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Gimpy. But us un-sensible individuals who are perfectly capable of handling themselves in the big bad city without breaking our bones are just happy where we are."
He set the blade down beside him and pulled the other from his back, the steel sending a slight hum to the air as it excited the sheath. Immediately he started sharpening it again. "What's the story on the big boo boo anyways? Anything good?"

Leaning against the door frame he glanced down at his leg, "I got shot. Stryker sent a few of us on a glorified publicity stunt into the city and we got ambushed. Rebels or rioters I don't know. I was pretty much out of it after I started the quake. Dr Hope says it's healing nicely and that with appropriate PT I'll be able to walk without a limp."
That had been the biggest concern for Ric really, that as much as he'd been shot (that he could handle) he didn't want to be kicked out the team because he couldn't keep up with the others. "Good enough?"
