Jack was pleased but none too surprised that Roy was the first one to show up. He was practically Jack's majordomo at this point. Being his usual gruff self, he let none of his reaction seep through. "Settle down. This ain't no Sunday School picnic."

Alyssa was soon following behind Roy, tugging her fingerless gloves down over her hands. Where the other man was ecstatic to get going the woman was cool and calm. Being overly ready to get the job done got people sloppy. This wasn't the sort of situation that being sloppy would help- more like to get someone hurt or worse, killed ( ... )

"C'mon you two." Jack and his group split from the girls, making their way around to the back entrance. They got there without any problem, but that's where their luck ended. There were several guards gathered around the doorway, all on their guard. It's clear they were already expecting an attack. "We're going to have to do this quiet," Jack whispered to Nicky and Roy. "Take them down hard and fast. I don't want any noise."

Nicky nodded at Jack he could be nearly silent in his kills. He watched Roy grab Jack and half expected to see Jack hit him or something.

As much as the darkness and hatred in Jack yearned for blood, he knew better than to act stupidly just to satisfy his own anger. He stiffened up as Roy touched him but listened. He nodded once briefly. "Fine. Let's see what the Raven can do." There was a clear bit of mocking tone directed at Roy as he used the mutant's old nickname. This was clearly a test in Jack's eyes.
