Bradley had walked into the team's sleeping quarters ready to hit the sack and get some rest. The sounds of moaning, as if someone was in pain caught his ears. Looking around, he saw Fred lying on his bunk, thrashing around in his sleep, caught in the grasp of some nightmare.

Chris just stood there for a moment or two before his brain caught up to the rest of him. He couldn't just let his friend's pain continue. Ducking one of the mammoth-sized arms failing about, he gave Duke's shoulder a sharp shake. "Fred! Wake up! You're dreaming!"

Someone was shaking him. Fred looked at the figure who had grabbed him by the shoulder and was terrified to see it was his father. His father's face was a blur and yet somehow he recognized the man all the same. He was lifted like he weighed nothing and thrown into a corner. Uncle Jeff's voice continued to taunt and degrade him as he was hit with a belt.

"Daddy noooo..." Fred wailed as Bradley stood over him.

Fred was whining like a animal in pain, a wounded noise that cut Chris straight to his heart. Clearly shaking his large friend was not working, so he was forced to become a little more creative. Dashing over to his bunk and pulling a water bottle out, he proceeded to dump the contents onto Fred's head. Hopefully that would do the trick.

"Jeez, Fred, c'mon. Wake up. It's only me, Bradley."

Fred's nightmare was harshly interrupted by a splash of water in his face. He sat forward in his bunk and gasped for air as he choked on the water. The room was dark, but he could see a figure in the corner of his eye, and he panicked. Crying out, he pushed himself away, only to fall out of his relatively small bed. he landed on the floor with a thud, followed by blankets.

It was just a dream, but it was a terrifying one nonetheless. Dukes was covered in a cold sweat and breathing heavily.
