The first thing Mark was aware of was the steady beeping going on around him. He didn’t feel like opening up his eyes just yet. His entire body hurt, from his head to his little toe, and everything in between. It took him a moment to remember what had happened. He had been antagonizing Logan in the gym…..then he had gone too far and Logan attacked

He was back at the asylum, face bruised as two orderlies pinned his arms to his sides. The indistinct face of a doctor flickered before him, indistinct words being heard but not understood. Not until "....give him a few jolts. Electroshock. He struggled against them, but it was no use as they dragged him towards the door, then being strapped to the table. He began to scream as the volts coursed through his body...
Ric's frantic voice snapped him out of it. He turned towards where the MPs stood, barring the one person he cared about the most from entering. "Ric!" He tried to take a step forward, but the adrenaline wearing off, coupled with the pint or two of blood he had already lost proved too much. He staggered and then fell on the floor.

At this the MPs let him go, standing by as Ric ripped off his stifling coat, dropped to his knees beside Mark's prone form and slowly turned him over. Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay. Please. Ric was unaware that the words were tumbling out from his mouth, as he ran his hands over Mark's body searching to see if he was bleeding or hurt anywhere. The IV had been yanked free from the back of his hand, leaving a red angry mark but apart from what appeared to be already addressed injuries Mark looked... exhausted? Pained? Fragile? Vulnerable ( ... )

Hearing Ric's panicked voice, he wondered what he would tell his boyfriend. He had screwed up big time, and had almost paid the price. It was definitely one of his stupidest moves, bar none. He didn't know how much Ric knew about what had happened, but he hoped that he hadn't gotten too panicked.
He forced his eyes back open and gripped Ric's hand, terror lending him strength. His voice was rough from yelling. "Lo siento. Please don't be mad at me." In a small whisper, he added, "Get me out of here."

"Martini!" She yelled, throwing off her white coat before she dared approach him. "Martini stop! You'll injure yourself more and have to stay here longer! Stop this."
She had known the moment the MPs brought Martini in that this was going to end badly. Martini's history with doctors and hospitals there was just no way it was going to end well when he woke up. She wasn't going to keep him sedated or drugged though, there was no need. She'd talk him down if it killed her.
Considering his powers and how he was reacting, it just might end that badly.

Hearing Hope's voice, he turned toward her, nerves completely destroyed. Martini was shaking, somewhere between panic and fright. He felt like throwing up and passing out all as once.
His demeanor changed immediately, from anger to cowering in fear. He held up his arms, as if afraid she might strike him. "Don't hurt me. Please." His voice sounded very small.

"I won't, I promise," she said gently, holding her hands out to show him she had nothing on her and he had nothing to worry about. "I'd like it if you'd sit so I could make sure you haven't pulled any stitches. And then we can talk about you getting out of here."

He shook his head vigorously, taking a step or two back. Rational thinking had flown the coop, along with seeing Hope as a person. She was a doctor, and that was it "I don't believe you! You're lying. They always do."

He looked over him slowly moving in to lay a hand on his arm. "You are still in the medical area. I thought an open space would convince you to speak with me."
He kept his voice even and calm not making an sudden movements. Jason had dealt with a few freak outs from Nicky but none were quite like this. It was fairly easy to shut Nicky down.

He was a little jittery, but managed to stay relatively relaxed as Jason laid a hand on his arm. "Well, I'm calm now. Mostly. Think you can switch it to the beach? Please?" Mark liked the beach, with only good memories of his days by the sea.
