She didn't really know how to play and that was fine by her, Really. She sat apart from a group of kids, listening to them argue over someones poker hand.
Somehow, the idea of a group of kids whose feet barely touched the floor playing poker struck Laura as odd.
Her sharp blue eyes rested on Amanda for a moment before she slid off of her bench and made her way over, her head tilted slightly. This was a new face and a relatively kind one, at that.
"Have you been affected by the change in camp?" she asked the woman.

Glancing down as a young woman approached her and spoke, her eyebrows lifted before she shook her head. "No. No I haven't. There's been a change, hmm? What's happened?"

"It appears as though something has affected peoples ages. Not everyones, however." Case in point, the woman she was speaking to.
"I appear to have been regressed to, at the very youngest, somewhere around eight years old but that is wrong." Laura shook her head at the end of the statement, frowning. "What is your name?"

She blinked before she smiled and extended her hand. "Amanda. Amanda Sefton. You are?"

He pulled back the wrapper on a muffin and ate half of it in one bite, smiling to himself. He'd wanted cake, but muffins were close enough. Basically cake without the frosting.
He was chewing quickly, then his jaw slowed. And slowed a little more. And even more, until it was hanging open. He stared at the blonde who'd just walked into the Mess like she was cake. Swallowing quickly, he shoved his entire tray into the garbage, polished off the last of his juice, and loped over to cut off her path with a grin.
Seventeen year old hormones were a bitch, especially when it was a guy with a flirty nature anyway. "Hey there," he said, clearing his throat when his voice squeaked a little on the H.

"Hallo." she answered, her accent soft. "You haven't seen Major Stryker around, have you, by any chance?" It was a long shot, but in the very least she could ask.

Then she smiled, and he felt like he'd lost a little blood flow to his head. Then she spoke, and she had an accent. Brian let out a little, "uhhhhh" before he cleared his throat again. "No, no Stryker. Nope." He grinned at her again, a little bit of a glazed look in his eye. "What's your name?"
