Restocking - ota (post road trip)

While getting out of the camp had been fun and a lifesavor, it was still a lot of work. Trying to resupply unstandard equipment in a country that spoke another language was a task all on it's own. Luckily Domino could speak some Russian and she had no problem getting what she needed. She was able to explore for a very little bit. She saw a few ( Read more... )

*Wade heard Dom muttering from inside the armoury and rushed inside like a child anxious to see his best friend*

Hey hey, look who's back!

*Dom looked up immediately from her workload, beaming when she saw Wade. She left the table and ran to assault him with a big hug. It'd been awhile since she'd seen him in this zoo.*

Miss me, pretty boy?

*Wade caught her in a hard hug and playfully tousled her hair*

Always, squirt.

You bring me anything shiny?

*It was a tradition that they brought each other silly things back from trips. Wade had a shelf full of them - things that always came with him wherever he lived*

*Dom laughed and gave him a playful jab to the shoulder.*

'Course I did.

*She moved behind the counter to find her napsack and what she'd gotten for him. After fishing around in it for a second she pulled it out and handed the two things to him. *

I saw that in a thrift store and I couldn't help it. It goes perfectly with your watch. *She said with laugh* And of course, what's a visit to another country if you can't try their candy.

Jamie was still feeling a bit off from being teleported around with Kurt. It had been fun, don't think he thought otherwise. Just the nausea he'd felt afterward not to mention the actual throwing up that he and his duplicate did? He coulda gone without.

Oh, well. The rec room now had a brand new ping pong table, courtesy one sticky fingered mutant and one former circus performer.

Jamie had decided outside was better than inside so he stepped out into the snow, intent on taking a walk around.

When he got to the armory, he couldn't resist taking a peek inside.

"Wow."

Dom blinked at the gun in her hand. She could have sworn someone had just said wow. It couldn't have been the gun, so she turned around to see Jamie standing in the doorway. A new face.

She greeted him with a welcoming smile though. Unknown company was better than none at all. "Quite beautiful looking, aren't they?" She asked with a raised brow.

Jamie shrugged slightly, eying the gun in her hand a moment. "All I know about guns is point, fire and if it's pointed at me I know how to take it away."

He paused a moment, taking a look around the armory with one eyebrow raised. "But, yeah. They're quite ice to look at." He should probably head to the library and see if he can find a book on guns. One not written in Cyrillic.

"I'm Jamie."

She chuckled, "They're not that hard to figure out. That's the basic concept anyways."

Dom smiled. "Nice to meet you Jamie, I'm Domino, obviously one of the weapons specialist. What's your part in the zoo?"

Forge hadn't been to the armory on base yet even though common sense told him that he should familiarize himself with what was there and how it was set up. It had taken, in the end, two weeks before logic overpowered his excuses and forced him into his boots and jacket and down the way to munitions storage ( ... )

Domino thought she'd heard someone, but only looked up from the pile when he'd spoken. She'd never seen this man before but offered a friendly smile.

"I'm fine, thanks. Just gotta sort out which goes where..." She said as she glanced around the room once more before moving to check off the stock list and begin to place the items where they belonged.

She wasn't rude however. "I don't believe we've met though." After sticking a few rounds of ammo on a shelf she moved to stand before him, extending her hand. "I'm Domino."

He watched her work for that moment, deciding whether or not to simply try the armory again when it was empty. Forge didn't feel proper sticking his nose around when it was likely to get in her way.

Blinking once (he'd been mentally cataloging the guns that he could see anyway, even while making the decision to leave), Forge turned his attention to Domino and took her hand with his gloved one. "Forge. I'm relatively new." Dark eyes moved back to the weapons. "All of that is for us?"

Not that there was such a thing as the word 'overkill' when it came to military vocabulary.

"Nice to meet you." Her eyes followed his back over the weapons before she chuckled. "Yeah. There is a lot of us now..and god knows what Stryker has planned. But hey, it gives me a job to do."

She moved to go back to the stock list, but kept up the conversation. She'd rather have company while she worked. Domino wasn't one for being alone. "So what's your specialty?"

When Logan heard something going on in the armory, his first instinct was to stay away. The last thing he wanted was to run into Zero, and have the sparring debacle rubbed in his face - not to mention the incident with Jean. The first person to use that against him was in for a world of trouble.

But just as Logan turned around, he caught a trace of scent that was definitely not Zero. Approaching with a bit of caution regardless, pushing the door open further, he saw Domino, and finally relaxed.

"Hey," he said, leaning against the door frame. "Didn't know you were back."

Domino looked up when she heard him, her face brightening when she saw Logan. She dropped what she was doing to come over and all but glomp him in a big hug. Well. He was the bigger part of the hug.

"Sorry I didn't come see you, I wasn't exactly away on holiday. I had to take care of this first." She said, looking up at him before placing a kiss on his nose.

His hands moved around her waist as she hugged him, a smile flashing across his face as she kissed his nose. Absolutely crazy.

He made a dismissive sound when she apologised; there was really no need. "Had a good trip?"

He wished he could have gone into town with her. It would have been nice to get away from this and be just them. Might've avoided some trouble, too...

Dom looked back up at him, but didn't let go. She loved just being held close by him.

She gave a shrug in reference to the trip. "It was alright, mostly business." Her nose wrinkled at the word. "I only got to do a little exploring but it was nice to at least get out...oh!" Her eyes lit up as she remembered something and she all but ninja-ed out of his grasp to get to her bag and fumble in it.

"I almost forgot, I got you something." She fumbled around for a little while before producing a simple box and handing it to him. They were Russian cigars. Dom chuckled lightly. "I had to wait until no one else was around when I bought them because they're 'illegal' around here...I felt like a little boy hiding in a porn shop."
