mission time

Envelopes marked 'confidential' were never a good sign. Even less so when they were also marked 'urgent'. Logan sat down on his bed before reluctantly tearing the envelope open. A mission. Figured.
Logan had mixed feelings about this. He didn't like Stryker's missions, usually - too much killing, and not enough explanation as to why it was necessary. This time seemed to be different, though. The objective was clear, there was to be only necessary force... and, much to Logan's surprise, he would be in charge. No problem. This wouldn't be so bad, especially with two of his girls coming along. The only one he wasn't sure about was Allison, but even Logan had to admit, he could have gotten worse.
The only problem was Victor. Logan didn't like the idea of leaving him unsupervised when he seemed to be getting more out of control every day. But the more Victor got out of control, the more Logan began to realise that he couldn't stop him. Victor would do whatever the hell he wanted, no matter what Logan did. The only way to stop him would be killing him, and Logan couldn't - couldn't even think about that. So he welcomed this mission like the coward he was, glad to have an excuse to run away from his responsibilities and not deal with Victor for a while.
He didn't sleep much that night - but then, when did he? After sleeping for an hour or two, and lying awake for a good while longer, he decided to hell with it, he'd go to the garage already and wait there. Sneaking out of the room, he didn't say goodbye to his brother. Yeah, he was glad to get away. He was also worried as hell, both for the rest of the team... and for Victor.
