Angelo sat in the back of the jeep his feet resting on the back of the passenger seat. He didn't care about the looks the driver was giving him he'd gotten looks like that his whole life from his brothers. He wasn't sure this had been the better deal but he knew that his mother couldn't take another one of her sons going to jail so he'd taken it.

*She wasn't sure she liked the sudden new people this soon after losing Evan, but then, it wasn't like anyone who was affected by his death got a say and it certainly wasn't this man's fault. She offered a meek smile, one that was very clearly forced and not at all happy.*

Angelo took in the forced and unhappy smile on her face and sighed internally. It looked like it wasn't going to be a warm or easy welcome to this place. He would just have to adjust and be prepared for anything.
