Ophelia didn't have the ability to care for the weather, she continued to play outside, dance and play, although she avoided going barefoot any more ( Read more... )

Martini saw Ophelia standing in front of Stryker's door. He pondered as to why. Even they, possibly the two craziest members of the team, knew better than to hand around there for kicks. There had to be a reason. He appeared behind her, giving her a quick hug as he spoke in her ear.

"Hanging around a bear's den, that's not too wise. Wake him up from his winter's sleep, he'll give you a nasty surprise."

She smiled over her shoulder at him, always appreciating Martini's participation in her games. He understood them, that it wasn't just something that she did for kicks.

"Need some red, can't think how. Only one way to get it now. Speak to the boss and try for formal. Convince him that Ophelia's being normal."

Nothing normal about her though. And she was only a few steps away from finding other things to dye her hair with.

He let go of Ophelia to get a good look at her. Yep, her hair was the color of cotton candy, not its usual vibrant red.

"Rain, rain go away, hair color won't come back another day. Normal?"

He laughed a little, but it was true; without the eccentric tastes in clothing and crazy hair, Ophelia was approaching something resembling normal, at least in appearances.

"What bossman thinks, who cares, not me. Still, you want gain favor, best to do what he wants, that's the key."

Ophelia nodded, biting the inside of her mouth. "Tried, she has, worked so hard. Took some hints from the famous Bard. Got her shoes, laced them up. Stole a shirt from Victor's pup." There was a half-hazard shrug, because really, Ophelia had ruined the supplies she'd been given by making a nice home for Miss Charlotte under the bed she was given.

"You think he'll notice, and take heed? Ophelia needs to fulfil this deed. Important indeed, it can't be denied. Scared that everyone's brains get fried."

Too much anxiety in an empath was a bad thing.

Holly had been minding her own business. On her way to the medical bay to see if someone could give her an asprin for a killer headache. Seeing the girl standing by Stryker's office -looking a little nervous, she concentrated a minute.

"Hey," maybe she could help a little with the nerves. "You doing okay bright stuff?"

Ophelia was still waiting for a reply when the new face approached, she tilted her head and smiled brightly. "Well enough, why thank you dear. But not bright today she does so fear."

Ophelia and her little rhymes. She sort of hoped this one wouldn't baulk at them.

Rahne was out making her own 'perimiter rounds' as the wolf in her did tend to want to do when she saw another new face near Stryker's office. Cocking her head slightly she inhaled the scents around her as she strode over to the uniquely dressed woman with pink hair. Rahne put her hands in her pockets as she approached, eyeing Ophelia with a curious gaze. "Hi. I don't think we've met yet. I'm Rahne."

Oh, another growler, Ophelia grinned at her, flashing her white teeth and mirth in her sparkling eyes. "Such pleasure indeed, it's great to see. Ophelia she is, by parental decree. Lost but not found, she stays here and waits. It's very important to find the right dates."

Regardless of who, Ophelia instantly reached out, sensing for Rahne's feelings. It was always interesting to see what the ferals were feeling. Although she did feel a little different from Logan and Victor.

Rahne canted her head slightly much like a wolf looking at something unknown but possibly interesting as she heard her introductory poem. It actually elicited a fangy grin of amusement as the wolf continued to assess this one. Deep down in her subconcious her guilt was still at work especially after the encounter she'd had with Logan and meeting Nicky. She would also feel incredible loneliness and intense emotional pain along with repressed memories. On the surface however, Ophelia was holding her interest.

Rahne just watched the young woman with interest a moment before speaking again.

"Nice to meet you," Rahne chuckled slightly, her fangs flashing momentarily. She wanted to ask what her abilities were but for some reason she didn't just yet. She didn't want to seem too eager for information. The wolf didn't feel threatened by this one, at least not yet.

It was all bubbling around in her though, not to mention the strange foreign feelings of the wolf in her. Ophelia felt those on a much less instinctual basis. She had to sift. It was strange.

Leaning forward, Ophelia gave a small sniff, raising a delicately kept eyebrow and flicking a strand of off pink hair out of her face. "To meet you both, such a pleasure. You're not like the other, not by any measure. More to see and feel and hear. Truly you seem like such a dear."

The guilt rolled up to the top, like it was pushing for supremacy, and Ophelia contemplated taking it away. But she'd been learning lately that sometimes, guilt could shape people, like Jack.

Instead of taking, Ophelia gave a little, as if to comfort the wolf; a mild sense of comfort and place, contentment in a small dose. At least to ease it a little.
