take a look around - OTA

*Contrary to pretty much everyone else, Logan really didn't care how cold it was in Russia. That's what clothes were for. He was just happy to be here, and off the goddamn plane (though he had to admit that Dom had made the flight less horrible than it would have been without her). On the whole, the change of location seemed to be positive. The new ( Read more... )

*For once, Ophelia was actually wearing her full issued uniform. Her pants, boots and two shirts -poor girl was still frozen. But that didn't stop her playing in the snow for a while. Making a bunch of snowballs and stacking them in a pile, she was stock piling.

Grinning slightly, she picked up two balls, neatly compressed into spheres, and lobbed them towards the building. Laughing loudly and almost hysterically.*

*He shouldn't be as surprised as he was. He really shouldn't. After all, with the weird and eclectic group they had - not to mention the certifiables - of course someone would think of snow balls sooner or later. Logan hadn't, though - well, it had been God knows how long for him since he'd done anything like play in the snow - and so the odd sound of the snow balls hitting against the wall urged him to investigate, in spite of the hysterical laughter that really should have warned him off.*

Having fun?

*She nodded her head, juggling two balls haphazardly, dropping them back into the snow.*

Lots and lots, this girl enjoys. Play around while they set their ploys. Takes some timing, a little aim. But after all, it's just a game.

*She threw one towards Logan, still smiling and giving a push of joy towards him. Not in attempt to influence anything, just her own way of showing her amusement -on top of all that laughter.*

Hey!

*Logan frowned as he ducked the snowball - barely - but he couldn't seem to get as mad about it as he wanted to (or rather: expected himself to). Sure, the girl was a nut, but she was innocent enough. Expecting her to behave was like expecting Victor to behave - and at least Ophelia didn't gut people for a hobby.*

Save those for Stryker. *He grumbled, acting more annoyed than he was. Old habits died hard.*

*Jack stepped outside, not reacting to the cold much more than flipping the collar of a well-worn sheepskin jacket up. He was used to weather this cold and blizzards even colder. Why the others bitched about it he didn't know. He noticed the feral standing nearby with a restless look on his face. Victor's brother. He began to size the man up, wondering if he could use the man to his advantage in his constant battle against Victor.*

*It was more a vague feeling than a conscious detection of smell or sound that made Logan aware of someone's presence. The kill-happy guy. Logan looked at him, frowning ever so slightly at the assessing look he was getting. What was that about? He hadn't pissed in the guy's boots or anything like that, had he? Logan stared back, unimpressed. Whatever the guy was after, he'd have to make the first move.*

*Jack and Logan resembled nothing so much at that moment as two dogs meeting in the street: eyes meeting, bodies held tense, ready for action. Jack took a pack of cigarettes out of his jacket pocket, lighting one in the frosty air. He wasn't in the mood to pick a fight just yet.*

Relax, puppy. I don't bite. Not until I get to know you better.

*Even now Jack had basically backed off, from Logan's point of view, the sense of challenge lingered. There was something about this guy that rubbed him the wrong way, and he couldn't figure it out.*

What makes you think you'll get to know me at all?

*El had ventured out into the cold. After sitting in the dark room for over an hour, she'd gotten bored and convinced herself it wasn't so cold that she couldn't go outside. Making sure she was fully prepared should anything happen, El wrapped a jacket around her, pulled on her boots, shoved her sunglasses onto her face and headed out.

She'd wandered for at least 15 minutes before spotting someone.*

*Logan had wandered around a bit himself, hands in his pockets to keep them warm. Between the cool air and being on his own, he had almost succeeded at clearing his head when he was distracted by a woman. He remembered her scent, vaguely - she must have been on the plane, though he didn't remember seeing her there. (Well, he wouldn't. He'd been too busy not throwing up.) New girl. He looked at her, wondering what she did - and what she was doing right now, walking around in the snow, while most others were determined to stay inside and acclimatize.*

*El gave a small wave, not approaching. She didn't want to intrude if he was trying for some peace. As most people were hiding out of the cold indoors, it was a little loud as opposed to outside.*

*Logan growled softly at the wave. Was she kidding? He looked away without returning the favor, and kept walking in her direction. Well, that was where he'd been headed. He wasn't about to take a detour because the blonde was in his way.*
