*Apparently Alison wasn't the only one who had been on the search for food. Ric was currently in the mess tent sat on the table (yes on rather than at) currently working his way through a mess tin of... well actually he didn't know what the hell it was. It was one of Strykers 'delightfully delicious' MREs which tasted something rather akin to cardboard*

It's edible if you close your eyes and pretend that it's something delicious that happens to taste rather like cardboard.
Oh and I'd avoid the last tray, when I went to serve myself some I'm sure it said hello to me.

There's this trick I learned when I was a kid. My mom made me eat all my veg and I hated it. When you plug your nose and swallow, you don't taste it.
{She practically glowed with the grin she flashed him, skin lightening up with her powers as she pushed the food around with her fork.}
