Intro/Newbie

Hi All,

I am working on a temporary basis, but it's coming to an end at the end of this month.  I'm doing some database work and want to take an A+ class so I can get my certification.  I'm hoping it will open some doors for me.  I like working with computers, and I feel easy around them. I could do help desk work, I do in a limited fashion answer

Goggle Civil Service jobs in your area and see where your state offices are located. Do a job search there, go take the tests, and they'll set you up with interviews.

I've tried it myself but I'm no good with office type work, which is the only other thing they had available for -me-. But they do have a ton of other jobs!

If you want to take a class to improve your marketability, take a Quick Books class! Seriously every post I see on Craigslist these days is looking for an admin assistant or clerical position with QB experience!

What types of database work do you do? If you want jobs that go on for says, grab some books on PHP/MySQL and learn to build web-based data sources. It's in extremely high demand and pays $80-125 an hour.
