NGO/Nonprofits.. Getting in without a Masters?

So, I have been tentatively browsing NGO/Nonprofit listings for the area I want to move and while I have equivalent experience, I'm seeing many of them want a Master's degree. While I understand this, having a shiny piece of paper doesn't make anyone an expert. In fact, I have had to teach some of these people with shiny pieces of paper how to do
