Next time you have a job interview, try asking the interviewer this question

Thinking back to people who have been in this position previously, what differentiated the ones who were good from the ones who were really great?
I found this on http://www.askamanager.com.  It's worked for others, and I just left the ranks of the unemployed using it, myself!  Give it a shot.  What's the worst that can happen? :)

i have one at 2pm today. i'm using it! i thought asking what qualities in a person do you think best fits this position and what are some things employees who are working now say they love about their job meant that you were reflecting on the position and seeing myself in that but no one really sparks up when i ask these questions.
