I didn't have your job exactly, but I know where you're coming from. I lost my job because I didn't collect the desired amount in a month. Due to recently changed policies, I lost my job twice as fast.
I had never been fired before, so when it happened, it was a Huge Deal. If you feel like it's going to happen, go ahead and start looking for another job. If it works out at your current place, that's awesome. But, if not, you'll have a back up plan, you know? I wish I would've known a lot sooner than I did, before I got fired.
I would agree that their daily goal is probably somewhat unrealistic in today's market. To make yourself feel better, you might look at how many of your co-workers have been there as long as you. I suspect you will find yourself high on the seniority list and 80% of new hires are gone in less than two weeks.
And if that's the case, I would suggest talking to these bosses about keeping your job. You would have proven ability to perform on your side. If worse comes to worst, do remember to ask for a letter of recommendation and a reference.
