And, of course, Teal'c's first thoughts on bicycles relates to their utility as combat vehicles. Loved his interaction with Hammond.

Thanks! Hammond turned out to be kind of fun to write. Much easier than Teal'c. :)

I think you did fine with both, but you should probably practice more for each of them. O:-)

I'll keep that recommendation in mind. ;)

Awwwww! I love Teal'c's insights into General Hammond, comparing him to Bra'tac, and wondering about his combat readiness.

And then taking Hammond's bicycle comment and turning it into a challenge to learn for himself and his observations on the vehicle and...

Teal'c and a bicycle. That's just so awesome.

I do really like that image of Teal'c on a bicycle, although I think beanpot should probably get credit for that idea. :)

Hee! I like the way you shift from Teal'c wondering about Hammond to the bicycle's battle-worthiness--I think it captures a great deal of Teal'c's thought processes and humor. *g*

See, I read the prompts first and thought, "I like those".

I love this. A lot. I love the introspective and his thoughts on Hammond (which is one of my favorite relationships ever) and Jack teaching him.

Love this. And as someone who has more roadrash from falling off a bike, I love the "easy to underestimate" part too.

Thank you thank you thank you!

They were good prompts! :) And I'm so glad you liked the story! It's my first-ever attempt to write Teal'c, and he's not exactly easy.

And as someone who has more roadrash from falling off a bike, I love the "easy to underestimate" part too.

Yeah, I had a heck of a time learning to ride as a kid -- although, admittedly, I was no Teal'c :) -- and I've known a couple of people who've only just learned to ride as adults. It's hard to remember just how much practice it really takes, until you see somebody else doing it.

I love Hammond and this assessment of him through Teal'c's eyes was pure delight.

Thanks! I love Hammond, too, so I was happy when he showed up as one of the requests. :)
