The world is ending.

It's strange, for Southern California to experience weather. Like so many botox-ed faces, the unswerving heat of Los Angeles is at once disheartening and yet, strangely, comforting; surely, the endless march of desert days can be overwhelming, but at least one knows what to expect.

Sometimes the weather surprises me. I live in the Valley, and it's been weird out here. When I moved here last year, we had a string of insane storms that left some of the roads nearby looking like rivers.

My street is one of those roads where, if you do not slow down to a complete crawl to go through the dip in the intersection, you will bottom out. If it even drizzles, the street completely floods.

I've been here for almost 2 years now, and moved from the East Coast, where there is REAL weather-and yet, the IE never fails to surprise me. I think perhaps the desert should be abandoned as unable to support human life.
