Random, out of the blue post, because it's been months and months. Every time I sign on I expect to find that everyone defriended me because I'm so boring. I'm horrible at being online when I'm not really in a fandom - it's kind of a thing. I haven't gone on my Facebook in more than three years because I forgot about it for a while and then could

They look truly adorable. And haha, hopefully the fandom will improve. Oh, teenagers. (Sometimes I can't understand, and then I look back at what I wrote when I was thirteen - and I wasn't even particularly unhappy!)
Looking at your recent posts has made me really miss bandom, too!

It has: dudes who basically have spent 99% of their ENTIRE LIVES working hard to get good at hockey, often leaving home at 14-15 to go live in some hockey place... this results in some interesting socialization?... :) Also in hockey: loads of big tough dudes who all hurry to HUG each other any time a goal is scored! And who protect each other and kick the ass of the opposing players who slam into their teammate.. there is a lot of slamming into each other, and a lot of fistfights.. but ALSO alot of after-the-fight interviews where each guy who was in a fight (or who got slammed into) says what a great dude the other guy is and what a great player the other guy is and how awesome the other team is... for more on this, check out this awesome post :)

I've kind of fallen out of fandom, too. I've gotten very excited about a few things in the past couple of years that probably could have turned into fandoms for me, except that there didn't seem to be a fandom for any of them. Widespread enthusiasm really does make a difference.
I spent about a week reading Sherlock fic (which was more than I have for anything else lately) and I thought it might stick, but it's seems not to have. Oh well. Hopefully I'll fall for something soon because I miss having something to be fannishly squeeful about. I hope you find something soon, too!

I have been reading a lot of fic, including Sherlock and Avengers, but for some reason (perhaps my level of comfort with the canon) it hasn't struck me with the desire to write it myself. The closest I've come so far is with Merlin, which seems to have a pretty thriving fandom - possibly I just have to immerse myself a little more and something will catch.

Sadly I'm no help to you as I'm very much still involved and in love with bandom.
