Live Journal: A Girl's Best Friend?

Tomorrow, we'll be back to your regularly scheduled programming of nerdy reviews of Xena: Warrior Princess (and the third season premiere The Furies which, spoiler alert, is one of my all time favorites) but, you know, this whole applying for jobs has me anxious this evening and, as I tend to do, when I get anxious, I get extra introspective, and ( Read more... )

i do self pity well enough, can't you just give me the job?

That is the wonder of the LJ, isn't it? (Until it gets SO quiet that it feels like nobody is listening to you at all. When even The Internet has nothing to say, then I really start to wonder.)

This post reminds me of my best friend. She always puts everyone else first and doesn't really think she has much of value to contribute. And I know for a fact it's absolutely not true of her, and though I don't know you as well as I do her, I don't think it's true for you either. And while I gleefully anticipate more Xena commentary, I'm happy to get some catch-up on your non-Xenite part of life, too.

I feel like kind of an idiot, because somewhere along the line I got out of the habit of reading your blog, and just the other day realized it. So I'm trying to catch up on past posts. I want you to know, without making myself sound like too much of a creeper :), that I really feel like we should be friends, lol. We have crazy similar tastes in movies and humor, and as High Fidelity taught us, it's not what you're like, it's what you like that matters :) So do with that what you will, but know it's not just lip service when I try to invite you over for a BSG marathon. And also, I have complete faith you'll be offered a great job one of these days. You're incredible and you deserve it.
