You'll be interested to note that I only had to get one shot today. Happily, since I'll be working in school with dodgy high schoolers next years, I got the vaccine for H1N1. I didn't have to get a shot for typhoid, but I did get four pills for it. I take one every other day and wham! I won't get typhoid for five years. Plus, it was $30.00 cheaper ( Read more... )

#3 - you're not the only one who thinks that. It's odd. The human colonies conjure up pictures of cities and towns and buildings, but the words 'cylon colony' don't. They make me think of some kind of enormous hive full of cells with individual cylons in each. I dunno why.

#4 - not really surprised that destiny isn't top of the list of Adama's favourite things at the moment. It's taking everything away from him that he loves.

#6 - I think it's a stress fracture dating back from when Adama jumped the Galactica into the atmosphere of New Caprica. If I'm remembering right ( ... )

3) The picture in your mind is startingly close to the vision in my mind.

4) Excellent point. Kara and Laura and their epic destines which are all related to death. And Adama is the King of Denial. Frak destiny, indeed.

14) There's a lot of stuff I love on this show that I've been told by some I shouldn't like if I'm a feminist. Guess I'm a bad feminist, too, because I don't find anything wrong with the idea of Laura being his woman, particularly because, as you said, he's her man. I don't think they're each other's property, but I do think they belong to each other. They're intertwined. I don't think there's anything wrong in vocalizing it. They're still two incredibly independent people.

15) I love the randomness of Sam suddenly being like a hybrid. But I miss his awesome hair.

22) I love the parallel, too, but I was so stuck on Galactica as the cylon. My list for the fifth was Ellen, Billy, Zarek, and Galactica. And I figured Billy was the unlikleliest of the bunch. I wanted it so bad!

#14 - we can be terrible feminists together. That's exactly my view on it.
