He That Believeth In Me

And here begins another rip roaring season. I was fortunate enough to see the fourth season live when it first aired and never before had I anticipated a television show like I anticipated this one. After every episode, I couldn't wait for the week to go by so the next would air. I mean, the fourth season feels like it contains cliffhanger after ( Read more... )

You know my gin-related reasons for not commenting much on A Day in the Life? Substitute 'white wine' for 'gin', and you have my reason for not commenting much on this episode.

I think I waffled on enough in my last response about how I really don't get the nymph squad thing. Why? WHY?

Re. your 'stupid question' - my assumption is that Laura was guessing that the nebula was literally pointing them in the right direction, so they just needed to keep going on a straight course towards it, then through it, out the other side and keep going. But I may have made that up.

As for Lee, why is he allowed to do that? I mean, he's one of their most experienced pilots. He's needed far more in that role than he is as Random Quorum Member #7. I could see it, maybe, if he'd been specifically chosen by Roslin as a member of her cabinet, or something, but for him to just up and quit his job one day? Especially when just a few episodes earlier (Dirty Hands), it was made clear that the vast majority of the fleet was not allowed to quit their jobs ( ... )

Hmm . . . I still don't really buy the whole "the nebula will point the way" bit. I guess because I see directions in space being so . . . not like they are here. It seems like they'd need a more specific goal, not just a direction, or they could overshoot. Or it could be super far away and they could never make it. *Shrug*

I suppose Lee can leave because in Dirty Hands they got rid of the "caste system" so everyone more freer to move around. But it doesn't make a lot of sense that the CAG, the second best pilot (presumably) in the fleet (or first, since Starbuck's not flying) would actually choose to leave. I mean, it's not like Adama could stop him. He could put him in the brig, but what good would that do? But, basically, it seems there are more nuggets then ever. Lee should put the fleet security over his own random ambitions.

Is this the same person I'm planning a hardcore June Jubilation nebula tournament with? Who happens to be in love with James Callis?
