Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make things stick to painted concrete walls without removing the paint? I have been told there's a special kind of wax that does the job. Does anybody know about this? Or anything else that I might be able to use ( Read more... )

One of my walls has this problem- and I finally just avoided using it. You see most of the stuff I would use comes off when it gets really hot and humid. Which it does in Ohio until mid October.

But my other 3 walls happen to be metal! So... Magnetic tape is the magic bullet here. I am wondering though... could you run strips of something down the wall.. like: cork? something you could use to pin stuff up to. Just a thought.

Getting a cork strip would be a great idea.... But I'm thinking how I could adhere that to the concrete?

Ask if you can have the custodians screw it into the wall? That's the only way it will stay up.

Doh- Of course!
Talk to the Almighty Custodians! Find the head custodian and tell him what you want to do. Perhaps you have in mind an extra bulletin board. That would be neat and easy to maintain. It would keep gunky tapes and sticky-tak off his walls. He would appreciate that. See if he can find and put one up for you!!
Custodians are amazing. Befriend one and you will have one of the two most important allies in that building in your corner! The other is the head Secretary. Get both in your corner and you will quickly have whatever you need!
