I am so pissed right now...

Long vent to follow...

Well, as I posted before I've been knocked down a few pegs by this darn cold and it's still kind of kicking my butt.  I went in to school on Monday, school was cancelled due to snow on Tuesday and Wednesday, and I had sub plans prepared for today and Friday because I just feel like garbage.  Well, I guess my principal was ( Read more... )

Nothing spreads faster at a school than a pg teacher. I remember that used to be the quickest "gossip" we would get. I used to get annoyed for that teacher who would get told on. I think if people wanted to tell me they were pregnant they would. I think it kind of steals their thunder of getting to tell people. I think it is crappy that someone said something.

I totally agree with you. I've watched others get scrutinized if people think they look a little "green under the gills" and it has always driven me crazy. I think it just never dawned on me that I'd become the gossip. Plus, I have to take part of the responsibility since I told a few people but now I just want to kick that gal in the shins.

Oh, I would be SO PISSED as well! I told someone on my actual team today and if things go farther I will be as pissed as you! I guess it shows us who we should tell stuff too but that does not make it any better!

Yeah, I guess I feel betrayed and a bit like an idiot. I certainly did not want my boss to find out this way and I now feel like my pregnancy has a lot of negativity attached to it at work as a result of all that happened today. I can't stand drama. :o(

I'm sure it will be fine. I think when you do tell your boss you should just tell him/her like you normally would have and like you don't know that anything else might have happened. Drama is so annoying, ugh!

I would be furious!! You have every right to be upset....especially since it was a friend that spilled the beans. I'm glad that Shaunna told you what was going on so you'd have the opportunity to deal with it when you went back to school.

Good luck with your principal and let us know how it turns out.

Thanks! I'm glad too that I won't be walking into work not knowing about all of this. At least this way I can deal with it all head on.

Hee, hee! I was wondering who the screened comment was from! :o) I've done that before too!

I would be livid! THat is ridiculous! I agree with Pea that schools love the preg gossip. Even if someone overheard don't they get the message or understand that you or anyone would want to wait until they get past a certain point in their pregnancy.

I am so sorry! Icky people!

Thanks. I guess I forget how much teaching can turn into a high school like adventure sometimes. I just hate drama and I'm really upset that my pregnancy now has this negativity attached to it at work. Poo on my friend.
